About NEK  Entrepreneurship Week

NEK Entrepreneurship Week is a series of virtual events designed to highlight resources that can help entrepreneurs, makers, and creatives establish businesses right here in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.

New business creation is key for the future of Vermont’s rural economy. In the Northeast Kingdom, whether you’re working through a business concept, need help prototyping a product, or are looking for early stage investment to get your business going, there are resources here to meet your needs.

Classes & Workshops

If you’re considering starting a business or need support for one that already exists, join us for a class or workshop hosted by business support experts like the Vermont Small Business Development Center and the Center for Women and Enterprise.

Innovation Challenges

The best ideas sometimes come while under pressure. Makers and software engineers will be challenged to develop workable ideas in a short amount of time during our Future of Forestry Hackathon and Bike Tech Build-Off.

Inspiring Speakers

Hear first-hand experiences from those in the weeds of running a business. Throughout the week, events will include guest speakers from NEK and regional businesses sharing their startup stories and current challenges.
